AWA Lighting Designers is humbled to be included in an accomplished group of architects & designers being honored as “Distinguished Members for NYCOBA l NOMA” at today’s opening reception of the ‘Remembering Slavery – SAY IT LOUD’ Exhibition at the United Nations Visitors Center in New York City.
“This exhibit is meant to engage the public with our mission to champion diversity within and outside of the design profession by promoting and raising the visibility of the work created by minority architects and designers who are sole practitioners, owners of both small and large firms, Architecture and Planning professors, Commissioners of city agencies, members of City planning boards and committees, and AIA Fellows.”

To mark the 2018 International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, ‘Remember Slavery – SAY IT LOUD’ will be on display at the United Nations Visitors Center from March 5th through March 28th. The Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 8th at 1pm.
