The U Bora tower rises 67 stories from the ground in a grand gesture towards the sky. Its level-by-level lighting rises in tandem with each floors progress from the lobby to the sky. Its most fascinating lighting element is a strong vertical illuminated accent, which draws the gesture full circle, by ascending from the ground-up on one facade and descending from the sky-down on the opposite facade.

The 250-meter-high U Bora office tower is located in the middle of Business Bay in Dubai, UAE. The architectural design intent was to provide the maximum amount of prime views. Oriented orthogonally to the street on the ground floor, the four faces of the tower twist as they increase in height. The facades vertical thermometer further accents this unique curvature of the building. The main circulation is located in a centralized core, which allows for maximizing usable areas and window space. Furthermore, the square footage of the floors increases toward the top of the 58-story tower. The bottom floors start at 1,100 square meters, while the top floors are 2,000 square meters, making the towers total square footage 80,000 square meters. The tower in the mixed-use complex contains 7,000 square meters of retail space, a 10,000 square meters public outdoor deck, and a large, 30,000 square meters residential block. The juxtaposition of this shorter 16-story residential tower purposefully refrains from competing with the height of its neighboring tower and instead, horizontally stretches along the lake, thereby maximizing views of the water.
